An emotional Lady Gaga has spoken of her thanks and admiration for a Los Angeles dog walker who was seriously injured as he tried to fend off dog snatchers earlier this month. Ryan Fischer was walking the star’s three French Bulldogs near her Hollywood home when he was attacked, shot in the chest and two of the dogs were snatched.
Sources close to the global star reported how worried and upset she was by the incident. She was working on her latest movie in Italy at the time and a report in the People describes that she “stayed in her hotel room” and was “hopeful it would all work out”. She offered a $500,000 reward for their safe return. A few days later, both dogs were handed in safe and well but the investigation into the attack is still on-going.

Fischer, who runs the Valley of the Dogs dog walking service in Los Angeles, has been posting on his Instagram account from his hospital bed. He paid tribute to his family and friends and to the health care workers who have been caring for him. To Lady Gaga he wrote “Your babies are back and the family is whole… we did it! You have shown so much support throughout this whole crisis to both me and my family. But your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss from your kids, was unwavering. I love you and thank you.” Sources reported in the People say that they now expect the hero dog walker to make a complete recovery.
On hearing that her much loved Gustavo and Koji were safe and well, the source told the People that ‘She was very emotional and grateful.’ She had been extremely upset even though she ‘remained hopeful it would all work out.’ The source added that the star was very grateful to Fischer, saying ‘She absolutely adores him and is forever indebted to him for his bravery.’ She has been wishing him a speedy recovery.’ It is also rumored that she will want to compensate him for his lost work.
In return, Fischer’s family, who traveled to be by his side, have praised the megastar for her support, and a spokesperson for the family told the People ‘Of course, we also want to thank Lady Gaga who has shown nothing but non-stop love and concern for Ryan and our family right from the outset.’

As for the anonymous woman who handed the dogs into the police – Lady Gaga is reportedly happy to follow through with the considerable financial reward according to sources speaking to TMZ.
Meanwhile, Joe Germanotta, Lady Gaga’s father, told Fox News of his feelings towards the people who committed the attack and theft ‘I want them apprehended so that they are tried for assault and/or attempted murder.’ He added ‘I am relieved that Ryan is going to be OK and Koji and Gusatv were found. Thanks to the LAPD.’ He continued, ‘Letting Koji and Gustav go unharmed was nice but they must be punished for what they did to Ryan. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the emergency room.’
